THE OFF-LOOM WEAVING BOOK

Written by Rose Naumann and Raymond Hull

Vintage hardcover copy of The Off-Loom Weaving Book. This book is for everyone who wants to weave but who has no space for regular looms and the materials they require. Off-loom weaving is an inexpensive hobby using homemade frames which can easily be put together, and working as often as not with scrap and salvaged materials.

With a simple portable frame the weaver can make garments, hangings, blankets, rugs, household and personal accessories. The various kinds of weaving explained here have been in use for a very long time and many of the pieces illustrated show the influence of American Indian designs.
